SERVING AT THE MOUNT
Serving in ministry at The Mount begins with an in depth understanding of our spiritual gifts. A spiritual gift is a special divine empowerment bestowed on each believer by the Holy Spirit to accomplish ministry God’s way in accordance with the will of Christ. Our spiritual gifts are given by God through the Holy Spirit to accomplish the work of ministry as God sees fit. Believers are called to act as stewards of these gifts and use them to edify the kingdom of God. Every believer should use whatever gift received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10 NIV).
We invite you to go to the Lord in prayer and ask him to identify and reveal the spiritual gifts he has bestowed upon you for kingdom service. Once you have heard from God, do not hesitate to join any of the following ministries and let’s get to work so that we can Exalt Christ, Exhort other Christians, Educate the community using sound bible based principles and strive toward a state of Empowerment that Impacts our environment.
Children and Youth Ministry
We have an obligation to develop and enhance children and youth’s awareness of God’s love through an atmosphere of learning and worship. We strive to cultivate spiritual development through biblical instruction, nurturing social skills, and enhancing their concept of Christ’s Great Commandment, Great Commission and Great Commitment. We strive toward creating children and youth who impact their homes, schools and communities through spreading the word of God, evangelism and Christian service so that when they leave high school they are ready to impact the military, college campuses and/or the workforce like never before.
